Manhattan Apartment

A client requested a room divider for their Upper East Side co-op apartment. They did not want the divider to damage the existing padded wall covering. They also did not want the project to require a construction permit from the co-op board.

Shoji Screen Solution

We built three mahogany shoji screen panels with laminated Japanese rice paper. We fabricated a sliding middle door that serves as an entry into the new room. 

The project was a great success. We were able to create an elegant new room for the client that seamlessly blended into their home's existing decor.
